Happy to help. Most questions are answered below; if you can’t find what you need, get in touch and we’ll come back to you.

Get in touch

Send us a message using our contact form and we’ll do our best to help. You can attach a screenshot straight from your Photos.

Reporting a bidding problem? The quickest way is from inside the app: open Settings and choose Report a problem. The hand, the bidding, your convention settings and the app version travel with your message, so we can replay exactly what you saw and you need not describe the deal or send a screenshot.

We aim to reply within three days.

Reporting a problem or asking about a hand

The most helpful thing you can send us is a screenshot — usually of the bidding page or the analysis page (or both), showing the hand or auction you’re asking about. A picture of the actual deal tells us far more than a description alone. Please include:

Taking a screenshot. On iPhone or iPad, press the side button and the volume-up button together. On a Mac, press Shift-Command-3 for the whole screen, or Shift-Command-4 to select an area. Your screenshot is then saved automatically — on iPhone or iPad it goes into your Photos app, and on a Mac it appears on the desktop. You can then attach it using our contact form.

Common questions

Which devices does BidMaestro run on? iPhone and iPad running iOS 18 or later, and any Mac with Apple silicon.

How do I practise a particular convention? Use the Deal Bias button to steer the distribution of the deals towards the conventions you would like to practise.

I’m not sure what to bid. Tap the Hint button during the auction and BidMaestro will suggest a call and explain the reasoning. Tap any bid already made for a plain explanation of what it shows.

How do I change the hand layout or other settings? Open Settings by tapping the icon in the top-right corner, and adjust which conventions you play, the deal bias, the order the suits are shown in, and what the review screen reveals.

Is my information private? BidMaestro keeps your settings and history on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details.

The app isn’t behaving as expected. Try closing and reopening BidMaestro; if that doesn’t help, restart your device. Still stuck? Email us with the details above.
